Meet Göral Kuruyemiş at WorldFood Istanbul!

The nuts and dried fruits sector will gather at WorldFood Istanbul, September 2–5.
Ahead of the exhibition, we spoke with Yunus Emre Durap, Export Manager of Göral Kuruyemiş—one of Türkiye’s leading nut brands—about the company’s operations, expectations from the exhibition, and why they choose WorldFood Istanbul for their brand.
What are your activities?
Founded in 1953 and headquartered in Gaziantep, Göral Kuruyemiş is a long-established company in the nut and dried fruit sector. Our main products include pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds, but we offer a wide product range, supplying both the domestic market and exporting to more than 30 countries, particularly in Europe, the Middle East, and the United States.
We operate with a fully integrated structure, managing every step of the process in-house—from production and packaging to export and logistics.
Why have you decided to exhibit at WorldFood Istanbul?
WorldFood Istanbul is an important platform where we can meet both local and international business partners face-to-face and showcase our products directly.
As in previous years, our goal this year is to establish new connections, strengthen our existing relationships, and represent our brand in broader markets. The exhibition also allows us to directly interact with visitors, observe market trends, and better understand customer needs.
What are your thoughts and expectations about WorldFood Istanbul?
WorldFood Istanbul stands out as Türkiye’s leading international food exhibition. With its ever-growing exhibitor and visitor profile, it offers valuable opportunities to our company. This year, we expect to meet new buyers who will contribute to our export targets and create opportunities for collaboration with professionals from different countries.
Why should industry professionals visit WorldFood Istanbul?
For professionals who want to keep up with industry developments, experience product quality firsthand, and connect directly with reliable suppliers, WorldFood Istanbul is an effective meeting point.
Bringing together every link of the supply chain, the exhibition is an invaluable opportunity for those who want fast access to accurate information and the right products.
What are your thoughts and forecasts regarding the food industry in Türkiye and the world?
Türkiye has a strong foundation in agriculture and a rich geographic diversity, making it a key player in food production. The nut sector is an essential part of this potential. Globally, we are witnessing a growing demand for healthy snacks and natural products.
In line with this transformation, we are developing our products with simple ingredients, natural production methods, and sustainable packaging principles. The future of the food industry lies in traceability, environmental responsibility, and high-quality production—and at Göral Kuruyemiş, we continue our journey with this vision.
