According to the data by Turkish Statistical Institute (TSI), employment rate of age 65 and above in agriculture is 65,5 percent, meaning that is 65,5 percent of the employed elderly population in Turkey is working in agriculture. One of the most troubling issues emerging due to the coronavirus outbreak is potential problems that might occur in agricultural production and the food supply chain.
The outbreak has been a clear reminder on the measures that must be taken for agriculture. So what do we need to do to make the supply chain unbreakable?
