General Coordinator of Anadolu Meraları

Yasemin Kireç, the general coordinator of Anadolu Meraları, was born in 1982 in Istanbul. She studied sociology and anthropology. Starting from university, she started educating herself on subjects of permaculture, natural life and ecology while continuing to work in corporate life. In the summer of 2015, she left the corporate life and completed her training on “Holistic Management” carried out in the practice fields of Anadolu Meraları in Çanakkale. She understood that we need to go beyond the concept of sustainability and talk about restoration. Believing that the solution for many problems lies in the soil, including the climate crisis, Kireç is working to ensure that restorative agriculture reaches a wider audience.
